FORGIVE THE CAPS! BUT I THINK MY COMPUTER HAS BEEN HIJACKED!?

Ok. I logged on a few days ago, and every time I did a search in google or yahoo, I would click the link and it would take me some place else. Sometimes a shopping website, sometimes another site, either way, I was always being redirected. Today I turn on my computer, and my desktop screen saver is bright red, and it reads “Your computer may be infected! Malware, Spyware, and more!”. There were lots of zeros and ones on the page too, kinda like the matrix or something. This is not a screen saver I downloaded. It just popped up on the background of my computer. Also, when I try to click on the lower right of my screen where I can easily access my Avast virus cleaner, and windows defender icons, they dissapear as soon as I put the mouse over them, not allowing me to click them. So, I know it’s infected. But here’s the kicker. I ran Avast, and the Microsoft malicious software finder, and they all claim that the system is fine. I KNOW it isn’t, because it’s still doing the redirecting thing with the search engines, and the screen saver is still the same. So now I’m worried that this thing is so sophisticated that even antivirus programs can’t find it. I’ve heard of CoolWebSearch adware, and how it does this. I also read that I might as well throw my PC out the window, then douse it with gasoline and set it ablaze, then bury the ashes, because CWS is impossible to remove. Right now I’m running it in safe mode with networking, and the keyboard isnt working. AAARRRGH!!! I forgot to mention that a few days ago, when this all started, I tried to burn a CD from Windows Media player, and the system said it could not find the driver.

Answer:
Start PC in Safe-Mode (screen res will suck) click start/run and type “msconfig” without quotes and press enter. Click Startup Tab, Disable all and Apply. Restart PC normally. Also, open IE and click tools/internet options/security/ move the slider on left of page up or down until reset all zones default, apply. Restart pc. If this didn’t work, open IE/tools/internet options/advanced/reset
