The ideal online network marketing home based business program to promote must ideally satisfy a set of criteria:
1.It should incorporate a product that is in high demand, one that has a market large enough to attract big volumes of potential investors and customers.
2.It should lend itself readily to provision of product and service delivery and marketing and administration online.
3.It should innovate in an existing market, or solve a problem that an existing market offering has experienced.
4.It should capture the imagination, either through making a dream realisable, or by giving people access to a resources and opportunities previously only accessible by those who have capital.
5.The marketing and compensation plans should be easily understood and monitored by those participating in the program.
Once a program is selected that meets all the above conditions, it’s important to recognise that there are certain myths related to network marketing opportunities:
1.“If you feed the funnel, your downline will grow”. Not true. I have started many downline programs that would have been doomed to failure if I had only focused on building the top level. It’s important to provide a set of resources and facilities to everyone in your downline so that they can prosper. The more they benefit, the more you do…
2. “Financial reward is the critical motivation factor”. When people are not achieving, you may need to boost their self-esteem and confidence; the promise of money is often not enough to get them actively pursuing their goals by carrying out the activities that will result in those rewards. In many cases, coaching, hand-holding and feedback is necessary to get your downline doing the things that will result in your mutual benefit.
3.“Once it reaches a certain size, critical mass will build it for you”. This is only true if the support infrastructure at each level has been duplicated so that each new level has the same training, access to upline people, and services and facilities. If it breaks down at any point, the flow of expertise and motivation stops.
In short, downline building requires more hands-on than most people understand, and it’s a little more difficult than it first appears. Here are some of the things you could do to ensure the success of your downline, and in so doing, guarantee your own success:
1.Continually search for and provide to your downline new promotion resources.
2.Research new software tools – traffic generation, article submission, link creation, comment posting, among others – and let your downline know about them.
3.Keep your network posted regarding new social networking resources like Twitter, Digg, and Stumbleupon, as well as new apps for all of them. I really like a new one, ViralNetwork, which I believe will grow huge when people see how practical it is: http://justd.ws/prefers/viralnet
4.Keep in touch with new training and coaching made available by successful marketers.
5.Keep up to date with your own industry and publish changes and updates in your own ezine which you should provide free to all downline members.
6.Create a Blog where you can keep your downline informed but also allow downline members to send their prospects to see the kind of support they can expect.
If you do all the above, it is difficult to see how you can avoid being successful and making a ton of money!

Derek
