Okay, well, I tried to restart my computer yesterday and when it tried coming back on a blue screen came on and it said that it failed to restart because of a problem so then I tried safe mode and all that happened was a black screen. I’ve tried alot of things and nothing is working, and I have no idea what to do. I want my computer back! 
Computer info: It’s a Windows Vista Basic which I got in 2006… when it first came out. It’s a desktop computer. *btw I’m on my mom’s comuter if youre wondering.* PLEAAAASE HELP. lol, thanks (:

Boot up your computer with a bootable Windows cd, then try to reinstall the system without formatting the drive. It should repair everything. Since you have not provided a clue, I suppose that one of the critical system file was accidentally removed. You might want to also get a new Asus Netbook for mom. http://getasus.com
