Why Buy the Panasonic Viera TC-P65V10?
Computers Comments OffPanasonic is one of the leading manufacturers of Plasma HDTVs and the Panasonic Viera TC-P65V10 is one of their best models yet. If that’s not enough, here are five reasons why you should consider getting it for your home.
1. Infinite Blacks
Plasma televisions are known for their outstanding black levels which contribute to the creation of breathtaking images and the Panasonic Viera TC-P65V10 is no different. In fact, it takes black levels to the next level with its Neo PDP panel and Real Black Drive System, making them infinite with a dynamic contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1.
2. THX Mode
Its picture quality is even more impressive in THX Mode, where the details are sharper, the colors are richer and more accurate and the rest of the picture characteristics are enhanced. In fact, with just the push of a button, this HDTV can recreate the audio and visual ambience of a movie theatre to a tee, allowing you to watch movies as if you were in one.
3. 24p Cinematic Playback
Speaking of movies, the TC-P65V10 can display these in their original format – 24p, without suffering from the flickering problem which plagues previous models or the hitching motion associated with the 2:3 pulldown mechanism that many HDTV models offer. This is because it has a refresh rate of 96Hz. Overall, processing is one of the strengths of the TC-P65V10, which is equipped with a 600Hz Sub-field Drive that reduces blurring and other motion artifacts with its image-analysis technology. It can also de-interlace and display different sources properly.
4. Interactivity
For your convenience, the TC-P65V10 comes with a couple of interactive features that you’re sure to love. For one, it offers the Viera Cast feature, which lets you access the latest headlines, weather reports and stock market updates from Bloomberg directly on your screen, which means you don’t have to check them on your computer regularly. You can even access the photos on your Picasa account and free YouTube videos, along with high-definition movies and TV episodes from Amazon Video on Demand – something new for the Panasonic V10 series. If you have a computer network at home, you can play the media files straight from them, too, thanks to DLNA, although the file formats you can play are currently limited.
If that’s not enough, you get to control your home theatre devices remotely via HDMI-CEC, which is called the Viera Link feature, and get to share your photos conveniently with the Viera Image Viewer and the SD card slot provided. You even have three types of background music and four types of display effects to choose from to make it more fun.
5. Good connectivity
Do you have a DVD or Blu-ray player, a recorder, an HD speaker system, a computer and a game console? You can connect them all to the Panasonic Viera TC-P65V10, which has four HDMI inputs, a PC input and two component-video inputs. There are also enough digital and analog inputs and outputs for all your audio needs.
These features, combined with a sleek design and other extras like a wide viewing angle and a Tools menu, make the TC-P65V10 one of the best Viera HDTV models available today. Unfortunately, it is also one of the most expensive, so if you’re on a tight budget, you can start looking somewhere else. Then again, the Panasonic Viera TC-P65V10 is worth every cent.
