My WoW warlock guide will attempt to explain to you all you need to understand to get started playing as a warlock. The warlock class focuses primarily on curses, shadow bolts, and commanding demons. Casting dark spells of torment and suffering are the warlock’s bread and butter. Though warlocks are unable to stand toe to toe in up close fighting, they easily compensate for it by casting damaging spells from a distance. Exclusive to the warlock class are soul shards, which are consumed by certain spells and can be obtained from defeated mobs. Warlocks are possibly the fastest leveling class especially when playing solo. In groups, warlocks are often the top DPS dealers.

The warlock class is a choice that is only available to the Gnome, Orc, Blood Elf, Undead, and Human races. Since warlocks are classified as a caster class, they’re allowed only to wear cloth armor. For weapons, they are limited to staves, daggers, wands, and some swords.

The most well known power of a warlock is the summoning of demonic minions (Felguard, Doomguard, Infernal, Felhunter, Succubus, Voidwalker, and Imp). Each minion possesses unique benefits that you can exploit. Whether it is DoT’s (damage over time), DD (direct damage), or demon summoning, a warlock can cast a broad range of magic spells. Soul shards may be expended for conjuring various items and even for resurrecting your raid partners. They are able to heal themselves using life tap and drain life, and also possess several crowd control spells (CC’s) such as fear and howl of terror. One of the commonly overlooked benefits that warlocks enjoy is that they do not have to pay nearly as much gold as other classes to acquire mounts (Felsteed and Dreadsteed).

Affliction talents are meant to improve the warlock’s DoT’s, drains, and curses. This talent tree is good for boss fights, raiding, and farming. Affliction is the spec to take when you’re trying to level your warlock as quickly as possible.

The Demonology talent tree uses talents that are intended to make summoned demons stronger and more effective, as well as enhancing conjuring spells and providing you better passive bonuses. Demonology is a great spec for PvP, leveling, and overall survivability. You’ll be heavily reliant on your demons when using this spec.

The Destruction spec raises the direct damage potential of both your shadow and fire group of spells. Your warlock can do amazing amounts of damage, but you will suffer reduced survivability. This spec is cumbersome to use effectively at low level so it is most often used after players get to higher levels. Note that this spec is not so great for solo play. Also, it suffers from poor mana efficiency and comes with a heavy reliance on farming soul shards. However, its really satisfying to watch health bars drop to nothing at lightning speed.

This is your WoW shaman guide to using your talents. Like all the other classes shamans have access to three talent trees, they are, restoration, elemental and enhancement. While firstly you’ll have to have a main focus, thanks to the double specialization you can pick two main talent trees and switch forwards and backwards as the situation calls for it.

Elemental

This talent tree lets the shaman to be a ranged caster, just like the druid’s balance tree. Be prepared to have to stop for mana replenishment regularly until you reach a high enough level that your mana regeneration picks up momentum.

Enhancement

This talent tree focuses on increasing the damage you cause, and it’s very efficient for soloing.Together with windfury weapon buff you’ll be able to blow through mobs quite rapidly.

Restoration

The focus of this talent tree is healing.
If you are a shaman who longs to join end game instances and raids it is very very useful indeed.
If you plan to start with this tree leveling with a team or group should be what you have in mind, then you’ll be able to destroy mobs a lot faster.

Starting Out
Making sure the character you use in this class is right for the job is one of the main steps to victory. Knowledge of personal strengths allows you to match with the abilities of a hunter. The hunter class is more than tracking down and shooting animals. They have distinct strengths and weaknesses that can make playing this class a little tricky.

Ranged warfare are where the hunters abilities lie, including using bows, guns and crossbow. these skills enable the hunter to get rid of their enemies with ease. Survival and tracking are two other abilities that the hunter has under its belt. Much of the damage taken from an attack can be absorbed by a pet in this class, giving more time for play. Now that you are aware of the hunters skills, you can now plan your attack. Victory can be gained by remaining far from danger. The use of a pet by a hunter means that the pet absorbs the impact of melee fighting . As the hunter stands back and causes damage, the pet can get in close.

Picking a Profession for Your Hunter
After deciding to play this class, a profession needs to be chosen that fits with the hunters abilities. Professions such as leatherworking and skinning are the most appropriate of professions as these will enable  you to make your own armor. However, another great combination is mining and skinning since this will allow you to make enough money to quickly purchase additional armor and weapons. Enchanting, tailoring and alchemy are some of the jobs that are not a good combination for the hunter.

These professions are very useful in other classes, however the hunter does not benefit from them. A middle of the road profession that can be very useful is herbalism, since you can use this to make your own healing potions. Gaining a pet on the other hand can also assist with melee fighting and herbalism takes a back seat.

Weapons
As we mentioned previously, the hunter shines at ranged warfare. Concentrate  on using just bows and crossbows, until the ability to use guns has developed. The first bow you get is basic, however as you progress from level to level you develop you skills and are able to upgrade as you become more accurate.
